We’re pretty well into October and we want to post several blogs that are specific to what’s going on this month.
October is an awareness month for two things that are relevant to CY CHRIST. It is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Cybersecurity Awareness. For the remainder of this month, we’ll post several blogs on these topics and return to our series on the Psalms.
Domestic Violence, or Intimate Terrorism as we call it, may be obvious in its relation to what we do, but how is Cybersecurity related?
There are many ways that cyber-security relates to churches and faith-based abuse, from abusers using a church’s online banking to steal church funds, or a youth pastor, using a cellphone to record sexual abuse. Our world is so interconnected with technology that it is incredibly important for churches to take cyber-security seriously.
